DO I REQUIRE A FISHING LICENCE?

Yes. In Ontario the law requires all anglers between the
ages of 16-65 years old to have a valid fishing licence.
 
WHAT IF WE HAVE BAD WEATHER THE DAY OF OUR CHARTER?

We constantly monitor the weather. If we feel it will be
unsafe we will contact you prior to your arrival to let you
know. If the charter is canceled due to weather you may
reschedule or have your deposit fully returned.
 
DO I NEED TO BRING MY FISHING ROD?

No. you do not have to bring your fishing rod, we supply all
top of the line equipment. If you have a lucky lure you would
like us to put on for you we would be happy to do so.
 
I HAVE NEVER DONE CHARTER FISHING, IS IT HARD?

No. Fishing on a charter is really easy. We have a
professional mate on boad to assist you from start to
finish and net the fish for you. 
 
DO WE NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

Yes. I would check weather conditions for the day and
dress accordingly. Don't forget to bring your sunglasses,
hat, jacket,sunscreen lotion and comfortable shoes.

If you choose not to add catering to your package, pack some 
snacks as well. Pop and water is included with all our charters.
 
CAN I EAT THE FISH THAT I CATCH?
 
Many of the fish we catch can be safely eaten. 

How much you can safely eat will depend on the size, type
and location of the caught fish. This information is available
the Guide to Eating Ontario Fish produced by the
Government of Ontario.

Is your Captian and crew licenced for the vessel being operated?

Yes, we are licensed with the following:

  • FIRST AID Marine.

  • Masters limited 60 ton.

  • Small Vessel Operator Proficiency  (SVOP)

  • Marine Emergency Duties A2- A3 (MED A2- A3)

  • ROC-M Maritime ( DSC)
     

Is the boat licenced and approved by transport canada?

Yes, our boat is commercially licensed and Transport Canada  approved.

 

Are there enough life jackets on board?

Yes, we are fully stocked with 15 adult and 5 youth sized life jackets.

 

Is the boat large enough for the size of your group?

We have a 40ft LUHRS 400 TOURNAMENT boat. We can accommodate any size group as additional boats can be arranged with advanced booking. If you have any questions you are welcome to contact Captain Randy or come by the dock and see the boat in person.

 

Are there accommodations if the weather gets bad?

Our boat has an enclosed cabin with Heat and Air conditioning with seating for up to 12 people, great for escaping rain or sun, or just to sit and relax in.

 

Is there a washroom on board?

Yes, we have a clean, full size washroom on the boat

 

Is the charter company you booked entered in the salmon derby.

We are an official charter boat in the Great Ontario Salmon Derby, meaning that your catch can also win you big prizes. Our customers are automatically entered. You can learn more about the derby and prizes at www.greatontariosalmonderby.ca
